This quote can be seen as a foreshadowing that they will make it. They just went though they worst storm of their journey and were at the verge of ending up at the bottom of the ocean, but they pushed through. Also, they were the underdogs in this "battle" they went through. This in turn put a fierce determination in them to make it. From this, the reader can foreshadow that with this determination, they will land.
Many times in our lives we are also the underdogs in many things, but we keep going. In many of the battles, we are the underdogs and have to exert much more energy and power than we may want to. We may not have completed them just yet, and the battles we face may be bad enough to change minds about going on, but in the end, we develop a determination to finish.
I like how you organize your posts (mostly because I did it similar) but I would like to see more color on your page. .
